WEFTo -- WEFT Operations

About WEFTo
English (USA)

This list is maintained by the WEFT Manager, with technical assistance by the WEFT Webgroup, and is subject to the WEFT mailing list policy.

Subscribers are current WEFT Airshifters and subs.

The purpose of this list is to provide a vehicle for communication about the day to day operations of WEFT. This list has been established to allow current WEFT Airshifters to solicit subs, to communicate about programming, to share equipment and studio concerns, etc.

This list is not intended for policy discussions. Policy concerns should be communicated to the appropriate committees and bodies throughout the station.

If you wish to be removed from this list use the form at the bottom of this page or contact the WEFT List Administrator <listadmin@weft.org>.

Misuse of this list may result in removal from the list.

Participation on this list is deemed as acceptance of the terms above and the Code of Conduct listed below, based upon the Ubuntu Code of Conduct as a basis for interaction, along with other common guidelines. Ubuntu's site states, "Because mailing lists form an integral part of [an organization's] interaction, it is especially important to bear the code of conduct in mind at all times."

Code of Conduct on WEFTo:

  • Be considerate.
  • Be respectful.
  • Be collaborative.
  • When you disagree, consult others.
  • When you are unsure, ask for clarification.
  • Step down considerately.
  • Avoid flame wars, trolling, personal attacks, and repetitive arguments.
  • Be clear and concise.
  • Don't wander off-topic, don't ramble
  • Do not be dismissive, or use innuendo.
  • Disagree without insulting others.
  • Write factually and ask questions directly.
  • If you find a personal message has gone to a list or group, send an apology to the person and to the group.
  • If you should find yourself in a disagreement with one person, make your responses to each other off-list rather than continue to send messages to the list or the group.
  • If you are debating a point on which the group might have some interest, you may summarize for them later.
  • Consider that a large audience will see your posts. Remember, too, that your words may be stored for a very long time in a place to which many people have access.

To see the collection of prior postings to the list, visit the WEFTo Archives. (The current archive is only available to the list members.)
